The Rangers won 7-5 on Tuesday as they faced the Detroit Tigers at Home. The Texas team displayed some power and got another homerun from Josh Hamilton who is at the top of the Major League leader board in that stat. Darvish pitched for the Rangers as well and the combination of Darvish at the plate accompanied by the Rangers offensive lineup is one that should concern most teams in the league. This Rangers team is certainly built for the long run and will be a good team to keep an eye on.
The Rangers got 10 hits all together in the game. Hamilton’s homerun marked his 24th of the season. The Rangers’ Kinsler hit his eighth homer of the year as well. The team fell behind early as Darvish gave up two runs to open the game. In the end, however, he fanned ten batters and got his tenth win of the year. His overall record stands at 10-4. Nathan came in and got his 17th save of the year as well. The Rangers are now 46-29 on the season and have a great 23-14 home record.
The Tigers fall to 36-38 with the loss and continue to look like a frustrated baseball team that is looking for an identity. The Tigers road record falls to 19-20 as well. Detroit did get five hits in the game including a homer by Fielder, which was his 12th of the season. Smyly got the loss for Detroit bringing his record to 2-3 this season.
