The Dallas Mavericks made easy work of the Bucks Friday and are beginning to work together much better after a slow start to their season. The final was a whopping 102 compared to just 76 by the Bucks. Currently, the Mavericks are playing much more like the champions compared to a slow start they had. It appears that change in their starters and bench, however, is starting to show that they can gel and be a team to watch out for. The win now brings the Mavericks to 7-5 on the year and drops the Bucks to just 4-7.

Leading the way for Milwaukee was Jennings who scored 19 to lead the team. Jennings has been one bright spot on the team, which is riddled with average performances. Livingston had the second-best performance for the team scoring 15 off the bench. Besides these guys, though, no other shooter had double-digit point totals and the Bucks struggled defensively which ultimately cost them the game.

For Dallas Dirk Nowitski scored just 11, but it was enough for him to pass the 23,000 point mark for his career. Jason Terry led all scorers with 17 points, which happened to come off the bench. Vince carter also added 16 to the team’s total. The Mavericks showed that they can have a lot of people contribute and get points from a variety of players both starting and off of the bench. As a team they shot 52 percent from the field as well and defensively they only allowed the 76 points.

Time will tell just how good this team can be, but they are really starting to show that the gains this off-season were as big as the losses.
